Haze Rug
Haze Rug by Begüm Cana Özgür for Nanimarquina.
As the name suggests, Haze draws inspiration from the colours found in nature when haze appears. The main focus of this collection was to highlight the brilliance of colour through a simple graphic intention.
When creating the series, Özgür took an experimental approach, playing with chromatic interactions and colour fading directly on the loom. The creative design was approached from two perspectives: the colours themselves and their interactions and the texture design - both sharing equal importance to maintain a balance between the graphic design, the number of warps, and the thickness of the weft.
Due to the hand-woven production of the rug, it may have natural irregularities.
