Inspired by history, this collection of flat-weave Dhurrie rugs carries the essence of traditional Indian rugs both in their texture and in their use. The rugs were originally used by the desert nomads to build their houses on, as they originally served to protect people from the ground. They represented an object of daily use; while providing comfort, they also defined the space.
Over time, the rug has become a decorative element and a vehicle for cultural messages. The Tres collection represents the modern-day transformation of tradition and reflects Nanimarquina's passion for craftsmanship. Its classical essence is achieved thanks to its handcrafted production in India using a very old and traditional technique; the dhurrie.
