Fashioned from solid ash or oak matured for over a century, the Centenniale table honours the inherent characteristics of the wood's varying hues, fissures, and blemishes. The intentional design of the table accentuates its cracks and knots, with designer Joanna Laajisto believing that these perceived flaws should be embraced as they form the core of the material.
Designed in 2023, the table's top, meticulously carved from a single, robust plank, is supported by four substantial blocks. These elements are distinct in their forms, with the legs having gentle curves and the tabletop having more sharply defined edges.
