Seminar KVT1 is a meticulously crafted archetype of a traditional Ostrobothnian solid wood chair, designed in 1992 by Nikari founder and master cabinet maker Kari Virtanen. The chair's silhouette has been thoughtfully reduced, resulting in an elegant yet strong structure.
Kari Virtanen developed the Seminar SVT1 chair as a model piece for a seminar to be given to design students on traditional wooden chairs. His ideas were concretised in the Seminar collection, built upon over the years to include chairs, tables and benches.
