PP130 Circle chair, 1986
PP 130 Circle chair by Hans Wegner for PP Mobler.
The Circle Chair's design appears to be unconnected with Wegner's other designs. It shows that Wegner was able to maintain his enthusiasm and innovative spirit despite an already long career. The solid wood and plaited flag line are elements which are recurrent in his collection. A special machine was developed to make the chair out of wood, something that even Wegner himself thought impossible.

PP Møbler is a family owned Danish joinery workshop, established in 1953, with a strong tradition for crafting design furniture of the highest quality.
The motivation has always been the love of wood and a stubborn belief that technique, ingenuity and craftsmanship can be combined with good design and the pursuit of quality.
The world-famous Danish designer, Hans J. Wegner is very much the focus at PP Møbler. Nevertheless, other designers have also made important contributions to the production.
