First designed for his home, the Hirche lounge chair is inspired by the Bauhaus where Herbert Hirche studied under Mies van der Rohe from 1930 to 1933. While serving as a professor at the Stuttgart Academy of Arts in 1953, Herbert Hirche designed the Lounge Chair for his own home.
