The perfect embodiment of Jean Prouvé's structural design aesthetic, the Fauteuil de Salon chair has a distinct yet understated silhouette. Characterised by its tabular sloped legs, wooden armrests and plump seating, the armchair has an inviting presence and is perfect for lounging.
Although designed in 1939, the seat didn't make it to production until it was later discovered in Prouvé's archives. It is now manufactured by the Swiss manufacturer Vitra in a selection of colours chosen to suit modern tastes.

The perfect embodiment of Jean Prouvé's structural design aesthetic, the Fauteuil de Salon chair has a distinct yet understated silhouette. Characterised by its tabular sloped legs, wooden armrests and plump seating, the armchair has an inviting presence and is perfect for lounging.

68w x 84d x 82.5cmh
Materials
Base in round and moulded sheet steel, powder-coated in colours of the collection (see swatches). Armrests in oiled, solid wood in the finishes natural oak, dark oak or American walnut.
Seat and backrest in polyurethane foam covered with fabric or leather. See swatches for fabric and leather colours and codes.
Leather Premium F is a cowhide leather with a smooth finish and beautiful top sheen. It is dyed-through and has a light pigment. It is also eco-friendly as it's treated with an olive tree leaf tanning agent (a by product of the olive harvest). Choose from 22 different colours for this premium leather collection.
