Flower Table, 1977
Flower Table by Alexander Girard for Vitra.
Designed by Alexander Girard, one of the leading figures in American design during the post-war era, the Flower table was conceived as part of the Miller House in Columbus, Indiana in 1977. The table was part of the ensemble in the Miller family home which housed a wide collection of folk art and a wide variety of bespoke objects.
The original design was modified in 1977 with an altered top, and Vitra with close collaboration with the Girard family developed the powder-coated steel version. The table brings a colourful touch to any space and can be used outdoors as well.
