The chairs in the Aluminium Group are the most famous creations by Charles and Ray Eames. Designed in 1958, they are rated among the great achievements in the design history of the 20th century.
Vitra introduces an expansion to its chair families tailored for home office settings. Included is the Aluminium Chair EA 132, featuring adjustable tilt mechanisms and ergonomic seat angles ideal for desk-oriented tasks. These models, devoid of castors, exude a subtle yet inviting aesthetic perfect for home workspaces.
An important characteristic of the Aluminium Chair is the intelligent combination of materials. It has a clear, transparent form and its construction is clearly visible. Aluminium sections lend the chair both stability and lightness. The material is fixed into the side sections, yet fitted loosely so that it follows the line of the body and is comfortable without requiring extensive upholstery. This material is not a cover but an integral part of the design.
Herman Miller has the sole license for the Charles and Ray Eames collection in the U.S. and Far East. Therefore the export of these products from the UK to the U.S. is not possible.

Four-star base in die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powder-coated in deep black.
Upholstered in Netweave, Hopsack, Leather with Plano leather back panel, or premium leather F with Plano back panel.Leather Premium F is a cowhide leather with a smooth finish and beautiful top sheen. It is dyed-through and has a light pigment. It is also eco-friendly as it's treated with an olive tree leaf tanning agent (a by product of the olive harvest). Choose from 22 different colours for this premium leather collection.
