Vitra’s Mynt Chair, designed in 2025 by Erwan Bouroullec, embodies a thoughtful blend of durability, ergonomics, and sustainable design. The seat and backrest are made from 100% recycled post-industrial polyamide, and individual components are replaceable if needed. Its patented mechanism allows the seat and backrest to move independently in response to body weight, promoting subtle posture shifts throughout the day. Height adjustment is the only manual control, keeping the chair’s function straightforward and intuitive.
The chair is available with either a four-star aluminium base, offered in a variety of finishes with glides or castors, or a five-star deep black polyamide base with castors. The mechanism and frame are colour-matched to the base, ensuring a cohesive and refined appearance.
Engineered for modern living, it transitions effortlessly between residential and commercial environments, making it a responsible and versatile addition to any contemporary space.
