A leading figure in mid-century industrial design, Marcel Gascoin created some iconic designs which have become part of French design history.
His career started at the French Ministry of Reconstruction and Urbanism, where he created post-war housing solutions, through prefabricated designs. His work here was rational and practical.
Gascoin was also a member of the UAM (L’Union des Artistes Moderne) with other modernist designers, including Robert Mallet-Stevens, Charlotte Perriand and Le Corbusier.
