The Develius Mellow is an evolution of the original Edward van Vliet's design from 2018. Retaining the structural framework of the core Develius family, the Mellow includes an additional padded layer, offering a softer seating experience while preserving the architectural aesthetic.
Van Vliet describes the development of the Develius as a maturation of the entire concept, emphasising that adding a removable cover extends the sofa's lifespan.
A key aspect of the sofa's design is its visual lightness, achieved through black wooden legs that elevate the seat. This feature ensures the sofa effortlessly integrates into any room without appearing overly heavy.

Materials
The Develius Mellow is crafted from a wooden frame. The seat has no-sag springs and all surfaces are padded in HR foam, covered with a duvet of shredded foam and polyester wadding.
It has metal brackets for connecting the modules.
The modules are covered with a simple inner canvas to make the outer fabric removable.
