Edo Sofa by Claesson Koivisto Rune for Arflex.
Created by the Swedish architectural studio Claesson Koivisto Rune, the Edo modular sofa is an evolution of the earlier Tokio collection. While it shares similar features, such as generous proportions and gentle curves, Edo has a new internal construction which offers even greater comfort.
Edo's design draws on Japanese influences, reflecting the traditional preference for soft, organic forms. This is reflected in its name, Edo, which was the name for Japan's capital city in the 17th Century.

Materials
The Edo sofa has a structure made from metal and poplar plywood with elastic straps in the backrest. The feet are made from graphite lacquered metal with black protective polypropylene glides.
The seat cushion and upholstery structure is made from shaped polyutherane with differentiated density.
The fabric cover is fully removable.
