Gino Sarfatti fascination with the gentle illumination of the moon inspired the Le Sfere series, which includes the Model 2042 ceiling light. The Le Sfere collection is a multifaceted, versatile lighting system, excellent for lighting all kinds of spaces with its ambient moon-like illuminating spheres.
Designed in 1963, Model 2042/3 and Model 2042/6 are two of Gino Sarfatti’s wonderful interpretations of the luminous sphere. The elegant ceiling light is comprised of three blown opaline glass spheres supported by a painted steel mount and structure with a Black or Champagne finish. Each sphere measures 20 cm in diameter and is gently held in place by the painted steel ring in a gentle embrace that gives the light a poetic expression and brings forth Le Sfere’s unique aesthetic.
