Knitterling

During the 1970s and 80s, Ingo Maurer produced a series of lights crafted from Japanese paper. Taking its name from the German word knittern, meaning wrinkle, the Knitterling pendant was designed in 1978.
The Japanese paper shade takes a simple conical form, decorated with intentional crinkles in the paper to produce a soft and gently diffused light. The straightforward design features a practical fixing on the cable, allowing for the height of the pendant to be easily adjusted.
Knitterling is available with the option of a paper cover on the underside of the shade, featuring a hole in the middle.
Each light is crafted by hand in Munich.

Shade crafted from Japanese paper, metal frame.
E27 socket, max. 60 W, suitable for light sources of energy classes EEC A-G. Frosted bulbs recommended. Bulb not included.
Not suitable for rooms with high humidity.
