The Lavitta Bar Stool was introduced in 2020, six years after the launch of Timo Mikkonen and Antti Rouhunkoski’s Lavitta Collection in 2014. Originally developed under Poiat Furniture, now part of Nikari, the collection received recognition for its distinctive design language, prompting the designers to expand it further.
Echoing the clean lines and soft curves of the original Lavitta Chairs, the bar stools feature tapering legs and rounded edges. Constructed entirely from veneered and moulded plywood, the design avoids the use of steel components, maintaining a cohesive and minimalist aesthetic throughout the collection.
