Akademia Armchair by Wesley Walters & Salla Luhtasela for Nikari.
Originally conceived as part of his thesis work at Aalto University, Wesley Walters collaborated with Salla Luhtasela to develop the Akademia Chair for Nikari. After 3 years of refinement, the Akademia Armchair was introduced.
The chair is characterised by its classic, straight frame and softly curved seat and backrest which take inspiration from various cultures such as Finnish manufacturing heritage, simplistic American Shaker style, and Japanese design traditions. Crafted from sustainably grown Finnish wood, the Akademia armchair seamlessly sits within any interior environment.
