Designed in 1951, the Eames Wire Chair is a variation on the organically shaped one-piece seat shell, boasting a light transparency and high technicality.
The chairs are available without upholstery, or with a single seat cushion or a seat and backrest cushion. Because of its shape, this upholstery is sometimes referred to as a "bikini".
Please note - Herman Miller has the sole license for the Charles and Ray Eames collection in the U.S. and the Far East. Therefore the export of these products from the UK to the U.S. is not possible.
The chair is also available without a seat pad here.
The Vitra original selection offers a 10-year warranty.

Materials
The seat shell is made of bent and welded steel wire, chrome-plated or powder-coated. The powder-coated option is suitable for outdoor use.
Four-legged non-stacking base with cross struts is finished to match seat. Fitted with plastic glides for carpet or felt glides for hard floors. Glides available in black or white.
Seat/base available in chrome or powder-coated cream-matte or basic dark.
Seat/back cushion available in the following fabrics and leathers from the Vitra collection: Hopsak, L20 leather and Premium L40 leather. See product downloads sheet for details and swatches.
In addition, the seat and back cushion are available in Vitra Checker fabric. See pdf in download section for swatch. Please note that this upholstery option is only available for the combined seat and back cushion, not for seat cushion alone.
