All Plastic Chair, 2017
All Plastic Chair designed by Jasper Morrison for Vitra.
Buy a set of six Vitra dining chairs between 1st November 2020 and 31st January 2021 and receive the sixth chair as a gift.*
Jasper Morrison's APC chair recalls the simple form of the traditional wooden chair but uses new materials and production techniques to offer enhanced comfort, functionality and adaptability.
The chair frame is cast as a single piece of high-performance dyed-through polypropylene. The organically-shaped seat and backrest are moulded to offer ergonomic support using polypropylene which is less rigid than the frame to optimise support and comfort.
Additional comfort is offered by the rubber buffers which cushion the junction between the frame and the backrest, allowing a gentle degree of flex in response to the sitter's movements.
The use of two different types of plastic for frame and seat is articulated by having seat and backrest in a slightly lighter shade of the frame colour, bringing a distinctive two-tone effect to the chair.
The All Plastic Chair is water and sunlight-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor use and presenting a highly flexible option for both contract and domestic settings.
*The least expensive chair will be free of charge. The following Vitra dining chairs are included in this offer (free combination possible): Eames shell chairs (excluding DSS, DSS-N, LAR, RAR, PACC and PSCC), Standard, Standard SP, Chaise Tout Bois, Panton Chair, Panton Chair Classic, Softshell chair, Moca chair, HAL (excluding swivel base), Tip Ton Chair, All Plastic Chair, .03 Chair and Belleville Chair.
