Designed in1951, the Eames Wire Chair is a variation on the organically shaped one-piece seat shell, boasting a light transparency and high technicality.
The chairs are available with a single seat cushion or a seat and backrest cushion. Because of its shape, this upholstery is sometimes referred to as a "bikini". Also available without upholstery here.
Please note - Herman Miller has the sole license for the Charles and Ray Eames collection in the U.S. and the Far East. Therefore the export of these products from the UK to the U.S. is not possible.

Materials
The seat shell is made of bent and welded steel wire, powder-coated in the colour Basic Dark or White. Also available in Chrome finish.
Four-legged non-stacking base in solid maple with stained finish (golden, black or dark), steel rod cross struts. Fitted with plastic glides for carpet or felt glides for hard floors.
Seat/back cushions are available in the following fabrics and leathers from the Vitra collection: Hopsak, Leather and Leather Premium F. See product downloads sheet for details and swatches of all the upholstery fabrics and leather colours available.
In addition, the seat and back cushion are available in Vitra Checker fabric. See image above for swatch. Please note that this upholstery option is only available for the combined seat and back cushion, not for seat cushion alone.
