Whilst visiting Venice, Italy, Verner Panton grew fascinated with the enchanting glow of the old street lamps. This captivation sparked his creativity and led to the inception of the VP Globe in 1969, a design that aimed to replicate the same distinctive glow.
The VP Globe is considered one of Panton's most iconic creations, featuring a unique layered structure comprising five internal reflectors suspended by three steel chains and an acrylic globe. It emits a gentle and warm light, a signature of Panton's designs.
In this version of the design, the lamp features brass-finished reflectors that enhance its warm glow. Red and blue accents are incorporated and mirrored in the top and bottom reflectors, adding a futuristic design aesthetic that reflects Panton's signature style.

Materials
Acrylic outer top and bottom shell.
Reflectors are made of polished aluminium with two accent colours (blue and orange). Ceiling canopy is made of transparent acrylic.
Brass finish ceiling canopy.
