In 2024, Wästberg reimagined the w182 Pastille as a wall-mounted luminaire: the w242 Pastille alu. Available in both long and short versions, it features the same refined design and high-quality light output, but is crafted from partly recycled aluminium, a durable, lightweight, and endlessly recyclable material. The collection is offered in the original four colours, plus new Telegray 4 and raw aluminium finishes.
The raw aluminium finish is left uncoated, allowing for more efficient production, easier recycling, and a natural ageing process. Its textured surface allows a unique patina to develop over time.
The fully rotatable shade allows for precise light direction. A COB LED, engineered to reproduce the full colour spectrum of natural sunlight, works in tandem with a large reflector and concave diffuser to emit a soft, warm glow. Brightness is easily adjusted via a dimming button located on the wall mount.
