In celebration of its 90th anniversary, Artek has revisited some of its most iconic designs. Titled Gems from the Archive, these timeless pieces are reintroduced as a tribute to the pioneering vision of Aino and Alvar Aalto.
Among them is the Cabinet 250. Following a successful limited-edition release in collaboration with Moomin, it now returns to Artek’s core collection, further solidifying its place in the legacy of Finland’s most celebrated designers.
Simple in form and exceptional in function, the Cabinet 250's understated design allows it to effortlessly stand as a centrepiece in living rooms or dining spaces. While often credited to Alvar Aalto due to its signature L-Leg, archival research reveals that Aino Aalto was the first to conceptualise attaching a cabinet body to this iconic leg design.
