Thaxted Blanket
Thaxted Blanket by Eleanor Pritchard.
The Thaxted Blanket is part of Pritchard’s East Anglian Quintet collection and is named after the North Essex town of Thaxted. The town’s name comes from Old English, meaning “a place where thatching materials are got”, which inspired the design of the blanket.
The tapestry of the town has been woven into the blanket, mirroring its beauty and design. The buildings feature limewash and timber, with neutral facades punctuated by dark windows.
The blanket is crafted from soft wool, with fine score-lines running across the surface, creating a subtle ribbed texture and a raw-look edge.
