The Pato Paper 4 Leg Chair and Armchair combine refined Scandinavian design with forward-thinking material innovation. Designed by Hee Welling and Gudmundur Ludvik in 2025, the collection features a sculpted shell made from PaperShell. PaperShell is a revolutionary cellulose-based composite developed in Sweden from renewable forestry and agricultural byproducts. Fully bio-based and fossil carbon-free, the material offers a warm tactile quality while supporting a circular approach to furniture design.
Supported by a stackable four-leg steel frame, the chair is available with or without integrated arms, striking a balance between comfort, functionality, and understated elegance for hospitality, workplace, and residential settings. Designed for longevity, the components can be separated and responsibly processed at the end of life, with the shell capable of being transformed into biochar through pyrolysis. The result is a contemporary seating collection that pairs enduring craftsmanship with a reduced environmental footprint.

Frame made of steel tube in a black powder coated or chromed finish.

Armchair stackable up to 13 chairs on floor and 25 on trolley.
