The Pato Paper Sledge Barstool extends the Pato Paper family into elevated seating with a clean, functional silhouette designed for both bar and counter applications. Designed in 2025 by Hee Welling and Gudmundur Ludvik, it features a seat made from PaperShell, a 100% bio-based cellulose composite produced in Sweden and free from fossil carbon. The material brings a warm, tactile surface while supporting a circular approach to furniture design.
This is paired with a continuous steel sledge frame formed from solid wire, delivering strength, stability, and a refined, lightweight presence. Balancing contemporary Scandinavian aesthetics with considered material innovation, the barstool prioritises longevity, adaptability, and responsible production. The frame is available in chromed or black powder-coated finishes, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of interior environments.
