George Nelson drew inspiration from a set of luxurious silk-covered Swedish pendant lamps, but he wanted to offer an affordable alternative. To achieve this, he ingeniously utilized a self-webbing plastic material developed by the military. This translucent shell beautifully encases a lightweight, rounded-steel frame, ensuring a perfect balance of elegance and durability.
