N-CT03 Coffee Table
N-CT03 Coffee Table by Norm Architects for Karimoku Case.
The N-CT03 Coffee Table, designed by Norm Architects for the Notabene Shoe Store in Copenhagen, draws inspiration from the facades and doors of shrines, temples, and traditional architecture found throughout Japan. The various wooden components of the table are intentionally spaced and meticulously levelled, creating a delicate appearance that allows light to flow through the gaps while maintaining a sense of stability.
Norm Architects redesigned the Notabene retail store, introducing refined Japanese design elements that contrast with the expressive and raw structure of the building, reflecting the precision and craftsmanship inherent in the shoemaking process.
