The Unio Sofa, part of the Unio Collection of easy chairs, ottomans and sofas, emerged from designers Timo Mikkonen and Antti Rouhunkoski’s interest in the dialogue between wood and upholstered furniture.
The collection reflects on form and texture, referencing design elements from past decades while adapting them to contemporary ideas of comfort and everyday use. The result is a sofa with a poised, architectural presence, while its soft upholstery and gentle curves suggest a calm and inviting character.
The sofa features a fully upholstered plywood frame, available in a variety of fabrics, with commercial-grade foam and a solid ash plinth.
The Unio collection was awarded the Warmest Design prize at the Monocle Design Awards 2022.

Unio features a solid ash plinth base finished with Rubio Monocoat colour Charcoal, a fully upholstered frame and commercial grade foam.
