The Unio Curved Sofa, part of the Unio Collection by designers Timo Mikkonen and Antti Rouhunkoski, stems from an ongoing exploration of how timber construction interacts with upholstered form.
Drawing on visual references from previous eras, the collection considers both tactile experience and spatial composition. The curved sofa offers a sculptural silhouette that anchors a space, while the soft materials and smooth lines convey a sense of quiet comfort.
It is built with a fully upholstered plywood frame, set on a solid ash plinth, and available in a curated selection of fabrics with commercial-grade foam for support.
The Unio collection was awarded the Warmest Design prize at the Monocle Design Awards 2022.

Unio features a solid ash plinth base finished with Rubio Monocoat colour Charcoal, a fully upholstered frame and commercial grade foam.
