In the late 1930s, Bruno Mathsson spent ten years developing a series of chairs, meticulously crafted using a one-piece frame and plaited webbing supported by bent laminated legs.
Another decade later, Mathsson developed these seats further with a variation called the Model 42 but ultimately had to drop the design due to the inadequate strength of the only available glue.
It wasn't until 1978, when stronger glue was on the market that Mathsson fully realised his design in a seat he renamed Mina.
In addition to webbed seating, Mina is available with sheepskin upholstery, offering additional comfort and a soft expression to the seat.
