Eva High Back
Eva High Back by Bruno Mathsson for Bruno Mathsson International.
Bruno Mathsson studied the "mechanics of sitting" in the early 1930s by sitting in a snowdrift and observing the imprint his body made in the snow. This work led to Mathsson creating a series of chairs, including the work-rest, which he exhibited in 1936 at the Röhsska Arts and Crafts Museum. The exhibition received great reception and recognised Mathsson as a leading designer in Sweden.
The work chair was continually refined, equipped with armrests, and achieved its final form as Eva in 1941.
