Designed by Norm Architects in collaboration with Keiji Ashizawa for the Kinuta Terrace, the N-DT01 Dining Table unites Scandinavian and Japanese influences and design principles.
Drawing on the natural references of the Terrace's connected courtyard, the table's character draws inspiration from the branches of a tree - by balancing light and heavy elements, the table appears light-weighted from some angles while sturdy and robust from others. The designers have skillfully utilised negative space to emphasise materials and details by highlighting the areas where the light can shine through, expressing the beauty of the materials and the exceptional craftsmanship of Karimoku.
