Betty Bar Chair by Thau + Kallio for &Tradition. 

Originally created in 2020 by Thau & Kallio for the Betty Nansen Theatre in Copenhagen, the Betty collection is defined by its solid wood frames and robust construction. The design was initially driven by a request for a lightweight, portable bench, a principle that influenced the entire collection’s ethos.
In 2025, the collection expanded with the addition of a counter and bar chair, preserving the clean lines and aesthetic of the original stool while offering a more supportive seating experience. Available in two heights, the Betty high chair is perfectly suited for kitchen counters or bars. Its thoughtful design combines timeless comfort with understated elegance. With wooden or upholstered seat variants available, Betty is suitable for both private and commercial environments.

Black water based lacquered ash, water based lacquered oak or smoked oiled oak. Seat made from formpressed veneer with optional upholstered CMHR foam seat.

**Needs FR treatment in order to comply with UK Fire regulation. Furniture orders requiring FR treatment will have 3 weeks longer leadtime and 15% upcharge will apply.
