The N–DC02 Dining Chair evolved from Norm Architects' relationship with Karimoku's factories, where they were able to work closely with the craftsmen in the workshops to refine and update existing product components. The resulting design is a seat that combines Japanese and Scandinavian design elements, balances simplicity with comfort and exudes a warm, inviting presence.
Designed for the 36 Kinuta Terrace apartments in Tokyo’s Setagaya district, the N–DC02 was part of a collaboration between Norm Architects and the Keiji Ashizawa Design team to renovate the interiors and produce 12 custom furniture pieces.
