Fun 1WM wall light by Verner Panton for Verpan.
In 1964, Panton conceived the Fun collection out of the desire to create a light that not only diffused light effectively but also made a bold statement in any space.
Originally, Panton experimented with metal discs for the design but later switched to mother-of-pearl after encountering seashells during a beach stroll in Malaysia.
The Fun 1WM wall light captures Panton's affinity for the natural world, featuring delicate mother-of-pearl cascading from a tier of half rings. When the light is turned on, it produces intricate patterns on surrounding surfaces, creating an ethereal atmosphere in the room.
When moved by a breeze, the hanging discs create a soft tinkling sound, adding an extra sensory element to the piece.
