Fun 2TM table light by Verner Panton for Verpan.
In 1964, Verner Panton was inspired to create the Fun collection. His aim was to design a light that could diffuse light effectively and also make a bold statement in any room.
Initially, Panton experimented with metal discs for the design, but later, he switched to mother-of-pearl after he stumbled upon seashells while walking on a beach in Malaysia.
The Fun 2TM Table light captures Panton's affinity for the natural world. It features a veil of delicate mother-of-pearl that cascades from two tiers. When the light is turned on, it produces intricate patterns on the surrounding surfaces, creating an ethereal atmosphere in the room.
The hanging discs of the light produce a soft tinkling sound when moved by a breeze, adding an extra sensory element to the piece.

Discs are made of seashell, with chrome-plated or brass finish metal frame and stainless steel rings.
