Fun 4DM Pendant Lamp by Verner Panton for Verpan.
In 1964, Verner Panton was inspired to create a light that could diffuse light effectively while making a bold impact.
Originally, Panton experimented with metal discs for the design, but his discovery of seashells during a stroll along a Malaysian beach led him to opt for mother-of-pearl instead. This led to the creation of the Fun collection.
The Fun 4DM Pendant comprises a single cluster of these mother-of-pearl discs, attached by chains of small metal rings mounted on a round ceiling plate.
When illuminated, the pendant casts intricate patterns onto its surroundings, evoking an enchanting ambience.
The hanging discs of the light produce a soft tinkling sound when moved by a breeze, adding an extra sensory element to the piece.

Materials
Discs are made of mother-of-pearl, seashells. Attached by chains of small metal stainless steel rings. White (MDF lacquered) wooden ceiling plate included.
